Doctor-Assisted SuicideIt is difficult to make a decision about someone's life without being in their situation. This is why the topic of medically assisted suicide is challenging. Each patient is unique and their individual situation should be examined separately from that of everyone else, because patients respond differently to their individual illnesses. Unfortunately, there can only be one law that governs everything. When all the facts are taken into consideration, the correct choice appears to be the legalization of medically assisted suicide. Doctor-assisted suicide should be illegal because it ensures that patients are not pressured to die and prevents doctors from breaking the Hippocratic Oath. Furthermore, those in favor of physician-assisted suicide falsely use the concept of dignity. Often, when a patient is in intensive care or has some kind of life-threatening disease, he requires a lot of medical attention. However, they also require the same amount of attention and support from family and friends. Naturally, the patient will begin to feel like a burden to those around him. From the patient's perspective, he or she is making his or her family and friends devote all of their time and energy to the hospital. They also feel that their family and friends no longer have time to do anything other than keep them company. The patient may begin to feel as if they have become the focus of their family and friends' lives. This can lead the patient to think that the best solution is to give up and die, even if that is not what he wants. The patient can easily become delusional with this type of thinking. However, the patient does not know that his family and friends want to be... center of paper... too much pressure on himself to relieve family and friends of the anxiety attributed to having to care for a terminally ill patient . Not to mention the pressure doctors and insurance companies put on patients to save money and keep premiums low. Furthermore, euthanasia is in direct conflict with the Hippocratic Oath, which most doctors sign. Furthermore, it will highlight the idea that the only way to have a dignified death is to resort to medically assisted suicide. Legalizing illegal euthanasia benefits patients and is essential to ensure they receive fair and adequate treatment in the last stage of their lives.
