Drug-specific protocols include specific plans for treating alcoholism, marijuana, and cocaine. Finally, integrated outpatient models include Recovery and Self-Help Training, Washton's Intensive Outpatient Model, and the Matrix Neurobehavioral Model. Their similarities include the common goal of preventing relapse through education, assessment, and individualized plans that support change and maintenance of recovery. Weaknesses include that some of the prevention plans are limited to specific medications, but this is also a strength as various medications affect people differently, such as a crack cocaine addict versus an alcoholic.
