In the story, it all begins when Connie goes to Pepe's house for a consultation. Connie's problem is how to remove the other belly button. Because if she (if ever) gave birth, where would the other umbilical cord be connected? Connie told Pepe the story of her time as a child. Pepe spoke to Mrs. de Vidal and everything Mrs. de Vidal said to Pepe is exactly the opposite of what Connie said to Pepe. One of the things Señiora de Vidal told Pepe was that Connie only has one belly button, her belly button wasn't really two. Even the age, according to which Señiora de Vidal said that Connie was only 18 years old. And she hadn't just gotten married that day, but had already been married for almost a year. Pepe knows that Connie is hiding from her after hearing from Señiora de Vidal that her father was in the news and that controversies often arise when her father is in government. Connie's mother told her not to be influenced by controversies. Afterwards, Mrs. de Vidal told Pepe that her daughter likes Paco. Pepe knows Paco because they were classmates when they were in elementary school. After speaking with Señiora de Vidal, Pepe went to Texeria. They talked and Pepe found out that Paco was in Manila, he writes Mary many letters about Connie's mother. Paco was in Manila with his band to play and sing in two different venues, they had already signed the contracts. Paco took an interest in Manila, while Señiora de Vidal took an interest in Hong Kong. They also talked and said that they would meet often and get to know each other's countries. Once, Connie's mom wasn't at their house and Paco met Connie. From that point, Connie began watching Paco and his band play around the club. Until one of them, there were few people arguing and one of them was shot. Connie was there and she was shocked. Paco and Connie went to a Chinese temple together. Connie told Paco he could talk to someone else, Connie left him. After a few weeks, Paco came out of the club where he played and suddenly saw Connie's car in the darkness. They drove until they reached Paco's hotel. Paco walked out of his hotel room and left. After that, 2 days to be exact, Paco left Manila alone and returned to Hong Kong.
