What is the meaning of a good life? How is the right to happiness achieved? We live in a society full of suffering depressed people, terror and mass murder. It's no wonder there are so many monsters in our society today. (The Creation of a Monster 1) In the story there are many forms of heroes and many forms of monsters. But what you didn't know is that a hero can also be compared to a monster. A hero is defined as “a person, typically a man, who is admired or idealized for courage, exceptional achievement, or noble qualities” (Google). A monster is defined as “a typically large, ugly, and frightening fictional creature” (Google). In our society today we have many heroes but an equal number of monsters. (Monsters in Society Pg 2) Assassins are the greatest threat to humans in today's society because it could be the most original and kindest person ever who turns out to be the killer. The huge amount of monsters in our society are murderers and greedy people. Many people's lives are at risk every day just because they are with these people and don't even know it. No one can trust a stranger, a friend or even a family member. TV shows and movies show the killer as a psychotic person in a typical way. When in reality it could be someone that people come into contact with, they simply have more experience on how to deceive an ordinary person. (The Making of a Monster Pg 2) People's mentality is different when they are around suspicious people or if they have a feeling they are in some kind of danger by being around a typical person, and at least 45% of the time they are right about to how they feel about a person right now. (The Making of a Monster Pg 3-4) In Beowulf, Beowulf was a hero to many, but a monster to others... middle of paper... the death of their fathers. They all act on the emotions of themselves, and this leads to the downfall of Hamlet and Laertes and the rise to power of one of them. As the heads of the three main families were murdered, the eldest sons of these families swore vengeance upon their father's death and would vow to kill anyone who attempted to meddle, and Hamlet and Laertes die while testing their acts of vengeance on each other. the other because Laertes suspects Hamlet of being his father's murderer. He poisons his sword and cuts Hamlet while he is off guard. Hamlet then discovers that Cornelius is responsible and kills him, then slices Laertes while they were fencing. This is the lesson that everyone must learn to realize that revenge is always the right choice, when someone disrespects their family or themselves. (Hamlet by William Shakespeare Pg 3-4)
