The land is not enough to satisfy her desires and make her happy in her marriage. The last straw for Janie is when Logan stops spe...... middle of paper ...... Janie's hair, which was very important to her .The difference between Logan and Teacake is simply that she she didn't love him and his possessions made no difference. Janie was very in tune with nature and nature was what educated her for intimacy, if you look back Teacake won over Janie by using her surroundings for example peach, lemons for lemonade, and that's how she managed to attract her . Throughout the novel, Janie searches for her "bee for her flower" and becomes convinced that Teacake is that bee. In her search for self-fulfillment, Janie realizes that she must live for herself to find the love she needs and desires.
