There are four core subjects that I achieved in the first semester, which provide me with primary academic knowledge and experience through workshops, teamwork, assignments and experiential conversations. Furthermore, I tried to read academic books on construction project management skills, especially case studies in the construction field which allowed to have awareness of what usually happens and their outcome in reality. Additionally, I got a part-time job on a construction site which helped me understand the construction industry in Australia and learn how to manage a construction project from my boss. 2.2 Advance my experience, practice and skills in management and leadership. I used tools and techniques that I studied last semester before to apply them to projects, which I have done before to practice and improve on my own. On the other hand, I gained management and leadership knowledge and useful information by reading useful resources such as: Harvard Business Review, Forbes magazine and so on. Furthermore, I gained my awareness about management and leadership in construction projects by talking and debating with my father, who worked as a contractor in the construction industry for 20 years.
