Unfortunately the problem is still frequent and women continue to face disadvantages in relation to the opportunities they have and do not have in a work environment. For decades, government and non-government organizations have been working towards gender equality, but the process is slow. Today, women still earn less than men and struggle to grow in their careers. However, due to the release of women's right to have the option to take advantage of maternity leave and family-friendly working hours, men are now faced with the difficulty of having the same option available to them. The Workforce Gender Equality Act (Cth) 2012 aims to address the current issue and focuses on equal pay between men and women. It is important that men and women have the right to equal pay, benefits and equal treatment at work because diversity is an encouraging ethic for businesses and gives men and women empowerment for what they do in these fields . Work should be recorded as quality of effort and efficiency regardless of the gender who performed it. The 'value' of a job has no legality
