Because of the importance of evidence-based practice in the development of nursing practice, research has become a valuable source in nursing practice. It is so common in neonatal intensive care units (NICU) nowadays. This is a new trend sparked through reliable evidence. In the early 1990s, this was rarely followed, but later the fact has accumulated that there is no negative effect of treatment, but instead it is a life-saving phenomenon.
