The world working together – is it impossible? Today the world finds itself in a very particular equilibrium, an equilibrium that has never been achieved before. Statistics reveal that the richest fifth of the population uses more than 80% of the world's resources. This constitutes an important issue and a very central topic for debates around the world. In contemporary times, because richer countries have so much wealth, there is general consensus that some should be given to poorer countries, as a form of assistance, to help them build a well-functioning society and improve the quality of life in countries poorer. areas. However, while most rich countries have agreed to donate 1% of their GDP to charity for poorer nations, very few countries come close to this 1% agreement. Some of the closest are Norway and Sweden. However, there must be reasons for this. Why are richer nations somehow reluctant to help the less fortunate? First, there are multiple reasons why this is not the case. A very important reason is that many countries and their citizens do not believe that poorer countries are capable of investing money well. It can be said that they believe they can be tricked into donating money into a very risky investment. This is also a major cause of poverty worldwide; namely the lack of adequate investments. Therefore, one can easily understand why some nations are reluctant to donate money. Closely intertwined with this argument is the fact that some leaders are simply corrupt. They take the money themselves and later use it for matters which are inauspicious to the people in general. This is obviously followed by strong doubt, since rich countries do not want to nurture corrupt leaders. Second, it is a fact that… half of the paper… poorer countries have access to trade markets, however, only if several conditions are met. First, corrupt leaders around the world must be abolished and dethroned. Corrupt leaders make this improvement impossible, and because they stand in the way, they must be eliminated. Secondly, trust between countries must increase, but this cannot happen without reason. Poorer countries must make wise investments and stop participating in wars or other conflicts. All of this is really just a downward spiral that needs to be reversed. The actions needed to reverse the spiral are very idealistic, but absolutely possible. It basically goes back to humans and their natural greed. This means that if we want the world to change, we must first change ourselves, as citizens, national leaders and empathetic human beings. And it could take a long time.
