Since people started working very often and trying to do the best they could, they became truly mechanical and started behaving like machines. It can also be said that people have become part of a machine which can be defined as the whole world. It is not only work that makes us similar to machines, producing and consuming also make us similar to machines and make us behave mechanically. Everything starts to become mechanical and the whole world is just routine now. During the course we studied many things and I would like to talk about the man-machine relationship through these essays and books. First of all, of course, there is Descartes. He believes that the human body works like a machine because it obeys the rules of physics. He believes that the human body is like a clockwork, and he also believes that if one wants to understand the relationship between the human body and machine, people should take the human body into pieces and study them. To explain his thinking, it can be said that people are like machines even inside. Our nature or more correctly our internal system works like a perfect machine. Everything has a place to go, a time required for its duty or when something is wrong in this system everything falls apart just like a machine. Because, if something is wrong with a machine, it would be a disaster and until it is corrected it could not work properly. Our bodies are just like this and for this reason we can say that people are like machines inside and by their nature. Naturally he says these things ignoring the fact of the immaterial soul. Because when we put “soul” into this topic we can't say that human beings are like machines since it has nothing to do with... half of the paper... the social machine we live in, that's not a bad thing how much we become a machine and alienate ourselves from ourselves. The problems are becoming enormous as technology and science improve. Since there are really complex machines to work with, people should learn to use them and, by doing so continuously, become part of them. This is really not a good thing, in fact, it will end humanity and all this because of the system we have. Becoming a machine means that there would be no more emotions and people would start to become slaves to the machines. This is against human nature and when it starts it is accompanied by emotionless slavery. Of course, changing the system is not that easy, so we should change our thoughts, our behaviors and stop being mechanical like machines. We have machines and we need “people” to use them, not machines to use machines.
