In 1867 William Lincoln patented a device that would revolutionize the entertainment industry. Lincoln's first camera was called the "zoopraxiscope" or "Wheel of Life." Later in the 1890s, people began making their own versions of portable cameras, while Lincoln's camera was always mounted on a tripod, to prevent the moving parts from breaking. They couldn't have known what impact they would have on the world. Cinema has created incredible people, styles and technologies over the centuries. Through film, there was less pressure on the actors. Directors began to invent new directorial styles and skills, bringing cinema to their own personal level. As for technology, the constant competition for maximum visual appeal has led to the development of far grander equipment. Hundreds of film formats were created in the late 1800s and early 1900s, leading to the very convenient digital video we can shoot with today. Cinema has clearly developed a lot since it was created. Some of the most interesting aspects of cinema are that it creates jobs, it allows people to express themselves through many aspects such as acting, directing, editing, etc. and ultimately started a worldwide passion for an entirely new art. In Hollywood, about 210,000 people have flocked to a small town because it's the best place to start a career in film. People have dedicated their lives to cinema, to the point of refusing to retire. Directing is always a very important aspect of filmmaking, and as the years have passed, we have seen more and more directors take up the challenge of the film industry. Although foreign films are in second place, American cinema does not see a position lower than first in the near future. Thanks to the film industry, our country is now prouder than ever. American has gathered many famous actors such as Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, and Morgan Freeman, each with their own unique acting style. The directors are not second either. We have produced hundreds of the most creative and dedicated directors to ever emerge in cinema. Modern cinema has clearly grown significantly since cinema began 1867.
