In the story father and son for those who feel more sympathy. This story is set in Northern Ireland and is about a father and son whose mother and wife recently died. The son moves to London temporarily but his father brings him back after what appear to be drug problems. The father and son do not get along with each other, the father tries to gain the respect of his children but fails. In the end the son is killed and the story remains there leaving us with the suspicion of who killed him. The son's relationship with his father is very bad. At the beginning of the story we see that he avoids talking to his father by pretending to be asleep. “I will sleep for him.” The son is angry at his father for taking him away from London. During his son's stay in London he had drug problems, it's almost as if he blamed his father for his mother's death. The son rejects, ignores and excludes the father.
