Management's duty is very important to improve and support effective occupational health and safety management systems. This can be done by following these precautions: - ensuring that identified hazards have been controlled - following health and safety procedures - working with employees to find the best ways to develop health and safety - health and safety discussions Identifying hazards Identification of hazards and the assessment is the basis of an occupational health and safety quality management system. - evaluate a construction site and identify potential hazards. - prepare a written hazard assessment that includes the methods used to control or eliminate the hazards .- share workers in the assessment of dangers. - Ensure that all workers are aware of potential hazards and control measures. Hazard Control: Hazards must be completely eliminated wherever possible. If this is not possible, they must be checked. Hazard control should reduce the hazard to a level that does not present a serious risk to worker safety. Controls should be as follows: Elimination: Elimination is the best control method because it completely removes the hazard. Engineering controls: containing hazard replacement, hazard isolation, protections and ventilation. Administrative controls: containing warning signs, safe work procedures and MSDS.PPE: footwear, gloves, respiratory protection and coverall. There are many other methods and tools that can be used and it depends on which method is best for controlling the hazards. Periodic Inspections: The system that depends on regular inspections will easily identify and control hazards. Official inspections should be conducted by a supervisor and a… means of paper… is the most common phrase in the workplace due to its importance. As technology and equipment develop in the field of work, the potential dangers become greater. This has forced owners to pay more attention to health and safety through the enforcement of strict laws such as HSE policy and SMS. The implementation of the health and safety policy commits the authorities to consider the health and safety of employees, passengers, service partners, contractors and the public. It aims to minimize harm to people and property by taking a positive approach to effective risk and safety management. SMS is also applied to take into account the effects of all operations on the environment and community. Responsibilities and duties for compliance with HSE standards and regulations at every level throughout the organization will be identified by the HSE policy and SMS.
