Teen suicide is one of the worst misfortunes imaginable for victims and their loved ones. When someone between the ages of fifteen and twenty-four intentionally ends their life, it is considered teen suicide. It is a serious health problem that can affect anyone today and will continue to be a serious problem among adolescents. There are numerous causes or reasons why people decide to do this, but it is one hundred percent preventable. There is an amazing organization to prevent suicide that can easily be started in any school, so I would like to start one in a school near my area. It should be clear to all teenagers that suicide does not have to be the answer and that there are people willing to help if necessary. Adolescent suicide is the third leading cause of death among people aged between fifteen and twenty-four (Caruso). . For something that is preventable at all costs this is a high ranking. It's a public concern because it could happen to anyone. If it happens to someone, all the people around him or her can be negatively affected. Most people feel uncomfortable with the topic of suicide (Suicide Prevention). But it is a topic that needs to be known because it is on the increase. Simple things like paying attention to warning signs or making sure there is open communication can save a loved one's life (Caruso). It should remain a public concern because it is something that can happen to anyone but can be easily stopped. Thankfully I have never lost anyone to suicide, but that doesn't mean this topic shouldn't be important to me. As my friends and many people I love along with me fall into the age of teenage suicide, it could happen to anyone at any time and it would have a huge impact... half the paper... or students .They don't want us a lot of money or time to help someone who has been affected by suicide, or who may be affected in the future. If you are helping or volunteering, you will not affect anyone outside of the target population. Since this is not a controversial topic, it should not cause discussion or hurt any outsider. Teen suicide is a difficult topic to talk about or address if you are close to someone affected. There may be different causes or warning signs to look out for because an experience can be different for each person. But because it is one hundred percent preventable, there are countless things that can be done to help. Suicide is something that can be easily stopped, so anyone can lend a hand and let it be known that there are always people or places you can ask for help because suicide is never the answer.
