Topic > Group Project Reflection - 1083

In a team-oriented environment, everyone contributes to the overall success of the group. You work with other group members to complete the work that needs to be done. Having the right people in the right roles is an important factor in measuring the success of a team, where you are united with other members to achieve key objectives. Each group consists of defined strengths and weaknesses. Our team's top 3-5 strengths needed to work accordingly consist of Informant, Summarizer, Orientator, Piggy-Backer, and Encourager. One of our strengths as a team is that we receive input from everyone involved. Every member of our team is a leader in some way. Part of being a good leader is knowing how important it is to get the best ideas from each member of your team. We participate in team meetings where we discuss any challenges, issues and problems. In these meetings, we often exchange ideas or brainstorm ideas with each other and come up with the best and most creative team solutions as potential answers to those perceived problems. As a team, our second leadership role is that of a summarizer. We are all good recorders/communicators, as we all take notes on the team's progress, team decisions, and any tasks that need to be completed in the future. We created an agenda for the team and at the end of the team meeting our team recorder would then distribute to each team member copies of the responsibilities that we share equally across the team. As a team, our third leadership role is that of an orientation leader. We are all good timekeepers. For example, we have someone who facilitates the team meeting, someone who manages the agenda, and someone who tracks time. It is useful to have each member of the t...... half of the card ......rt. When a proposal seems to be well understood by everyone, and no new changes are required, the facilitator can ask if there are any objections to it. If there are no objections, we can ask for consent and, if there are still no objections, after a moment of silence you will have your decision. Bottom line, we feel like we've built trust in our team. Because we are leaders in our own way, we have each created a culture of trust between us. Once we got to know each other personally and shared some personal information about ourselves, our families, our hobbies and other interests, that's when we started to develop a bond and all the trust built between us. And this document assessed the top 3-5 strengths and weaknesses of our team and what successful strategies we hope to add to our team to build a more effective team in the future. Thanks for reading.
