Running a business involves many factors. Hiring the right employees and having the right tools to ensure the success of your business will only help your company grow and develop. Adapting a training program will help the employee understand how the company works and set job expectations early in the employment relationship. In this way the employee receives specific job training before being independent in their job role. The training program must also include ongoing and advanced training due to changing job functions and additions to the job description. Creating ongoing, advanced training will allow the company to evaluate its employees consistently rather than once a year and will help an employee grow with the company and advance into new roles within the company. The first step an organization must take is to complete a needs analysis. This process simply helps the organization determine what type of training is needed (Aamodt, 2013). For example, you could analyze each department and determine what is missing from the training and what needs to be added to the training. My company focuses on customer service, so I would analyze the customer service department to see what needs to change when training new employees and maybe add some type of customer service training. The second step is to complete an organizational analysis. This determines the factors in the organization that will inhibit training effectiveness or facilitate effectiveness (Aamodt, 2013). I should determine what type of training is needed based on my budget. By completing an organization analysis, this helps create the business objectives you want to be achieved and you will need to determine a location where training will be conducted during this analysis...... middle of the document ...... or yes refers to the work. The final option is business impact. This is the moment in which it is determined by evaluating whether the objectives have been achieved (Aamodt, 2013). This may happen at the end of the 30 days. For me, I'm checking the company controller to see if the A/R ratio is decreasing and then I'm filtering it by each employee who participated to see if my training was successful. Having a training program and using it correctly will help your company grow and succeed. Your employees are the ones who come to work every day and you need to invest in them. Give your employees the tools to succeed and grow in their careers. All managers should be involved and show them the results of the training, because this way they will know how their employees are progressing. References Aamodt, M. G. (2013).
