Personality is essentially the culmination of the characteristics that make up an individual and that make him unique. Personality influences things like a person's behavior, who that person interacts with, and how interactions occur. After studying different personalities and reading the play 12 Angry Men, I have a better understanding of myself and those around me. This led me to realize that my closest friends and I have very different personalities, so we all have different views of the world and different ways of responding to events in the outside world. While we have these differences, I have also noticed that we have a remarkable amount of similarities such as our moral standards and, for most of us, the belief that we achieve great things through hard work. All of this aside, I've noticed that it's often difficult for us to make group decisions when we want to go out and have fun. These decisions generally include where we are going, what time we will go, and what we will do. Likewise, the jurors of 12 Angry Men seem to have a similar problem. However, their problem is more difficult, especially considering the fact that they do not know their individual personality and their decision will ultimately decide whether a person lives or dies. After taking the online personality test I discovered that I have an INTJ personality. As a result, this wasn't a big surprise to me because I had already taken a similar test in my psychology class and got the same result. I didn't learn how accurate the test was the first time since I didn't do further analysis on exactly what my personality type meant. The clash between the jurors' different personalities proved to be a major source of conflict in the show. Although the jurors of the comedy 12 angry men with their different personalities and points of view had many arguments during the trial, they ultimately came together and decided to acquit the boy of his crimes. This shows that even though our individual personalities and those of others around us are different, we can still come together and actively open ourselves to different perspectives and ideas to achieve something important.
