It may be easier to start in small steps, perhaps within the single family unit, and then work towards others outside. Any step or effort made is a positive step in the right direction. Changing behavior and effects on the environment requires the work of all individuals who share this Earth. One person can only make so much difference. Personally, I will make an effort in my daily life to try to use less water by turning off the tap while brushing my teeth or in the meantime while washing the dishes. I told my dad what he should call the company that comes to your house, removes your grass and replaces it with gravel, aka small rocks. It is paid for by the government because you will help the environment by using less water and you will no longer have to water the grass. They put plants of your choice that don't need water. I'm sure I'll be able to take public transportation to work and school, but maybe I'll think about changing my car to a hybrid or electric in the near future. The government also provides subsidies to families interested in solar panels for their homes. This will go a long way in helping air pollution and ours
