Stakeholders in this scenario are the pharmaceutical company CompCare, a subsidiary of PharmaCare, Wellco, a large pharmacy chain, employees of the various companies, the African nation of Colberia and The Colberians.PharmaCare company runs a successful business if ethical behavior across the board is out of the equation. The company is able to find diligent workers in Colberia, willing to share information about indigenous healing in the area. Colberians are willing to walk five miles in and out of the jungle carrying baskets weighing up to 50 pounds. Also, they are willing to work $1.00 a day. Even if, towards the Colberians, this seems like highway robbery; The PharmaCare company is not forcing job opportunities on them. Many people in the area are improving their quality of life, in exchange for little money from the company. On the other hand, it is unethical for PharmaCare to contribute to social problems such as habitat destruction and endangerment of native species through extensive activities and commercial practices. It is amoral for PharmaCare to take advantage of Colberia's low standard of living and economic conditions. Most of the population lives in primitive huts, without electricity or running water. People are simply trying to make a living and executives live in luxury with swimming pools, tennis courts and golf courses. The question is: where do you draw the line? Clearly, some Colberians know that these extensive activities in their local area are destroying their habitat and the leaders know it too. Allen can't legally fire Donna, Tom or Ayesha. They are protected by the policy exception of the employee-at-will doctrine. The Operation Director... half of the paper... due to the low standard of living in Colberia. This situation shows that PharmaCare only cares about its own profit margin and does not practice the standard of management.Works CitedGlobal Corporate Forum. (2007).
