Do you know what you breathe into your lungs every day? Pollution affects many animals, plants, our entire planet is affected by pollution. “There is so much pollution in the air today that if it weren't for our lungs there would be no place to put it all” (1). Air pollution directly affects some plants and animals, air pollution also affects the habitats of animals and plants along with the food and water they need to survive. The plants affected by the pollution are then processed for consumption. “Why normal human activity is worse by nature than the largest nuclear accident in history” (2). We humans are what create the pollution that is killing our earth. We are the ones who invented factories to make things for us and cars that emit exhaust fumes that will take us around, we are the ones who put our rubbish in our waters, we are the only ones to blame if the earth is already starting to die. Acid rain is due to chemicals rising into the clouds combining with raindrops and then returning to the ground. When those acid droplets falling to the ground harm the environment, acid rain kills trees, harms animals and fish along with any other wildlife. Acid rain will destroy pretty much anything that comes in, when acid rain seeps into the soil it will create an unsuitable habitat for the plants and animals that live off those plants and have a home there. Air pollution called CFCs has destroyed parts of the ozone layer which is the layer of the earth that prevents harmful ultraviolet rays from the sun from entering. Ultraviolet radiation causes skin cancer and harms plants and wildlife. Our planet is warming rapidly due to greenhouse gases... middle of paper... pollution is not the cause of global warming and the death of our earth. Now pollution is not the only thing killing our environment, but humans are also killing the earth. We drive around every day in cars that emit pollution from exhaust fumes, from the factories we use to make things every day, from the garbage and waste we throw into waters, all play a major role in killing our earth.
