Life begins with fertilization. When a sperm meets an egg, this is the beginning of a human being. The fertilized egg, known as the zygote, is the beginning of life. Religion aside, as it should be, a woman and her husband have the right to create a family. Who's to say they're wrong to do so? Complications during pregnancy can occur around this age. There is a risk of genetic diseases and miscarriages. With technology nowadays, the risks are reduced, tests can be done to check if there are any chromosomal abnormalities, so why not try for a baby in your later years. You can prepare to reduce your risks, for example by stabilizing any existing medical conditions such as hypertension, diabetes or obesity. Additionally, depending on your budget, you can now seek alternative fertility treatments (University of Maryland Medical Center, 2012). Is it ethical for a single mother, same-sex couples or teenager to have children? I believe everyone has the right to have children. I believe people should be responsible when raising a child. This is not an easy task, so it may be more difficult for a teen to accomplish, especially if they don't have the help of a significant other or family. I believe that people should be prepared to start a family, although this is usually not the case for heterosexual couples, this however... middle of paper... what can be considered a justified suicide? I think terminally ill people, the elderly, and people with debilitating illnesses may have justified suicide. Anything other than people suffering from temporary reasons, such as depression, emotional pain, or financial hardship. These can be resolved by making changes to your life. Patients who have no options, or options that involve more pain, should be able to commit physician-assisted suicide. How will you deal with your feelings and beliefs about death? I think some people can detach themselves from how they feel about the patient's death. But for me, just knowing that I had helped the patient as much as I could would make me feel accomplished. It will be stressful in some situations, but we have to find our own therapy for this. Maybe taking vacations, meditating, or doing other things that make you happy can help.
