Topic > Pros and cons of parents vs. Childhood vaccines - 988

Parents against childhood vaccinationVaccines: lifesaving or harmful for children? This is an important controversial topic that needs to be examined. The majority of the population receives vaccinations, but it is the 8.2% who have refused and the 5.8% who have delayed and refused, who need to be more informed about the vaccines that save millions of lives. There are many pros and cons of vaccinations that are equally significant. Considering the results, vaccines are very important and cannot be discarded without a valid reason. If you were asked a simple question like: what were the major epidemics and epidemics that occurred in the past that were cured by vaccines? What would you say? One thing that is certain, that everyone has heard about, is polio from the early 1940s to 1952 (Smith, Humiston, Marcuse, Zhao, Dorell, Howes, and Hibbs). This disease has paralyzed many and claimed a huge number of lives. This vaccine significantly reduced the incidence rate of polio. When you hear this fantastic news about this vaccine, which cures polio and reduces the chances of getting it, wouldn't everyone rush to get this vaccination? It seems reasonable to help save lives and eliminate this terrible disease. There have been other epidemics such as measles, mumps, rubella, diphtheria, smallpox, etc. These vaccines have helped in many ways and saved many lives. Vaccines became important when Edward Jenner invented the first smallpox vaccine from a cow carrying the cowpox virus. He had heard that a virus can be inoculated from a related virus, so he used the cowpox virus (Immunization Action Coalition). After this incident, vaccines have been used many times because they help save lives! The children's parents are... in the center of the paper... everywhere. As stated before, there is no correlation between thimerosal in vaccines and autism (unknown). This is a myth that everyone spreads to stop the vaccination process in children. Vaccines do not harm children, if anything they prevent their death. Vaccines help children prevent the disease. Children will have much milder symptoms of the disease if they are close to it, but it is not deadly to their system. In hopes of getting the point across to non-believers of childhood vaccinations, I argue the pros of childhood vaccinations. They are in this world for a reason, to help save lives. This is the number one reason they exist. I grew up getting all my vaccinations along with many others. There was no damage to my system. If anything instead of trying to do it just for your child, do it for other children.
