With the goals and purpose in mind, I hope to use my new knowledge and strategies to be an effective instructor. I know that literacy is critical for students as they move forward in life. I aspire to motivate students in lifelong learning, but also guide them to grow through education and the literacy process. I think of voting when the word literacy comes to mind. Not being able to vote is being an informed voter. More informed and educated voters (citizens) can impact not only our lives and our nation, but also our personal lives. Literacy is essential for applying for a job, reading a prescription bottle, and even reading articles in the media. Literacy is more than making lesson plans and learning. Literacy is a life survival skill. I hope you appreciate it
