As stated by Clark (2014, p. 3) “Organizing is the process of creating and maintaining conditions to effectively execute plans.” An effective leader will have a carefully organized plan for how to achieve his or her vision. Ask Questions By asking specific questions during the planning process and throughout the project, the leader will have a clear understanding of the plan's performance. As stated in the Army manual and cited by Clark (2014) “Two key questions must be asked during planning. What are all the ingredients necessary for its successful execution? What are all the possible forces or events that could hinder or destroy it?” (page 3). The author also states the importance of prioritizing and assigning someone to do each of the tasks listed. Creating leadership roles in the process and execution plan will allow the leader to focus on the bigger picture while influencing the progress and direction of the plan. A leader will have several key control points within the project to ensure execution of the plan. Having a system that allows all team members to review progress will help ensure that each task is completed on time. Being
