Next I would try to motivate him to achieve his goals. Then I would ask him to fill out some forms regarding his medical history and current medical conditions, what his educational progress has been like before, and so on. I would then look at his forms to see whether he has or has had any medical conditions in the past or not. If there is, I would talk to his doctor to learn about Chad's condition before designing his training program. Then I would take measurements like body fat, body weight, waist circumference and calculate his BMI, basal metabolic rate, his target heart rate range and track it in his training diary. I would then design the training program based on your goals keeping your past or present medical condition in mind. I would then take his blood pressure to see if it is optimal, normal, high normal or in the process of hypertension.
