Grace Kelly was a globally admired actress who couldn't seem to avoid attracting attention. She was a world beauty that people would die for. But in addition to being an actress admired throughout the world, Grace Kelly was a down-to-earth princess. Grace Patricia Kelly was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on November 12, 1929. Her mother was Margaret Katherine Majer: first coach of the University of Pennsylvania women's track team. His father was John Brendan "Jack" Kelly, a champion sculls champion who won three Olympic gold medals. Her father was also a self-made millionaire (“Grace Kelly Biography”). As a child, Grace preferred to play alone. She once accidentally remained locked in a closet for several hours. When she was found she was happily playing with her dolls. As a teenager she was very insecure about her physical appearance. She once said in an interview, “I almost crawled into the woodshop, I was so embarrassed” (Kehoe 116). Grace Kelly expressed a deep love of performing at a young age. In addition to participating in school plays and productions, she often modeled with her mother and sister (“Grace Kelly Biography”). While attending Steven's school, a small private high school in Philadelphia, he continued to dream of acting. Her uncle, George Kelly, was the one who encouraged her to pursue a full-time acting career. After high school, Kelly decided to pursue an acting career in New York City, despite her parents' objections. Kelly then enrolled in the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, still not listening to her parents ("Grace Kelly Biography"). After graduating from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts at age 19, Kelly sought a career on Broadway, but found it. hard ("Grace Kelly Biography"). Four days later... half the document... his was never proven. He spent 24 hours in a coma before dying at the age of 52. Stephanie lived (Kehoe 116). After her death, a hybrid rose cultivar was named after her. The Princess Grace rose is now widely grown in Monaco (Kehoe 116). Overall, Grace Kelly was an amazing person who became a princess.
