The choices we make“Here is the world. Good and terrible things will happen. Don't be afraid. -Frederick Buechner. We as humans are born into the world only as we know it today. The world is a beautiful place, home to a natural landscape created by God for humanity to thrive and prosper. As human beings it is up to us to utilize Mother Earth's resources and build an environment for future generations. Unfortunately, this is the best case scenario that has already been tainted by greed and sin. Overall, the nature of the world is good, but there is definitely evil among us. The nature of the world can be good and bad, but the world is up to us to preserve and keep it healthy. We can account for evil through faith and law, but ultimately it all comes down to each individual's choices to spread good will or evil through their daily efforts as they struggle, work, and play in this world. The world was created so that we could live. long and prosperous, we are born into the world and have the choice to do what we want, whether in good faith or bad. You can't just blame the world for being evil, it's not the world's fault if we make choices that hurt the world and others. One way we explain evil is through laws. Without some kind of order, the greed of individuals would prevail over all that is good, and chaos would be among us. In Dante's Inferno, almost all the people he meets in hell are people who do not respect the laws of society. For example, the tragic love story of Paolo and Francesca. Francesca was married to Paolo's brother, Gianciotto, but her sexual desire was an attraction to be with Paolo. Gianciotto discovered this sinful situation and killed them both. Dante believes that this is a circle of… middle of paper… good or evil depends on each person, knowing the end result of freedom or imprisonment, heaven or hell. The world itself is a place of beauty, happiness and prosperity. It is human beings who decide the nature of the world through the choices we make. As we see in the story of Adam and Eve, before Satan deceived Eve, the world was originally created for humans to thrive and prosper. Furthermore, as we see in Dante's Inferno, many people do not respect God's rules and chose to sin when they lived on earth, adding wickedness to the world and now suffer the consequences. Every sin committed slowly accumulates and makes the nature of the earth a bad place to live. However, every act of love and kindness spreads joy in the world making it a good place to be. Overall the nature of the world is good, but it is up to us as human beings to make the right choices to keep joy in the world.
