More than any of us can imagine. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day because it improves your body throughout the rest of the day. During the night, believe it or not, your body burns a lot of calories. While you sleep your brain works very quickly storing memories of that day. Your body also needs plenty of sleep so it can feel good the next day. “Did you know that even two nights of not getting enough sleep can slow down your metabolism?” (Shaffer). Getting enough sleep can be very difficult for people who are always on the run or who feel overwhelmed by everything they have to do. No matter what you have to do or where you put your priorities, you should always make more room for sleep, because it might be worth losing a few hours of your busy day to make the next day much smoother. “Researchers have found that eating breakfast daily or frequently is strongly associated with a reduced risk of developing type two diabetes” (Moore). While breakfast may be the most important meal of the day for you, it won't do you any good if it doesn't consist of good supplements. A robust breakfast will boost your metabolism and make your body work much better for the rest of the day than if you drank a cup of coffee. “A recent study shows that the average American spends $1,092 a year on coffee.” “52% of Americans still drink about 70 liters of coffee a year” (Russo). It's a ridiculous amount of coffee going through your body, but your body will soon get used to it and the coffee won't have as much of an effect anymore.
