Abbott Architect ci4100 is an automated diagnostic analyzer that integrates the i1000SR immunoassay and c4000 clinical chemistry tests on a single platform. This improves performance and efficiency in the laboratory. This Architect analyzer has a maximum throughput of 800 chemical tests and 100 immunological tests per hour. An integrated reagent capacity of 55 chemistry kits and 25 immunoassay kits. Loading capacity of up to 180 samples that can be continuously loaded and unloaded during the testing process with an extensive test menu, maintaining fast and consistent immediate turnaround times and reliable results of excellent quality and unique clot and blister identification technology; without cross-contamination and ensures high precision and reproducibility. This Architect Analyzer has built-in software that performs many functions, such as the robotic sample handler that ensures that STAT samples are assigned the highest testing priority, being moved to the front of the routine samples already loaded in the sample areas for this system. The software transfers STAT samples to any module, clinical chemist or immunoassay, will produce a test result in the shortest time possible. The analyzer software also tracks routine operational information such as reagent usage and volume, displays the current and limited number of calibration curves, and can provide graphical displays of long-term historical data. The Architect Analyzer software also recognizes typical analytical problems such as the prozone (prezone) effect for immunoassay tests and rejects results generated under prozone conditions and automatically orders a dilution and retesting of the sample. Processing patient samples with Architect Analyzer is accomplished by first loading the patient sample onto the robotic sample handler and initiating an analysis on the system control center monitor.
