The phrase "the rich get richer and the poor get poorer" is not a new concept that individuals in our society have come to understand, but I don't think that We really stopped to wonder what this phrase really means. A good portion of our population, soon to reach 95%, is forced to keep the foundation of our country standing while hardly being redeemed for their time and effort. Many of these people live paycheck to paycheck, barely getting by, not because they mismanage their money, but because the value of the time spent at work is negligible. Our world lives in conditions of extreme poverty, where we must take into account that millions of Americans live on food stamps to get food to feed their families and survive, while there are individuals who spend millions on cars, boats and homes, “items” that are not essential to their health or well-being
