Do you know why Rosa Parks is a hero? She helped a lot in this world and if it wasn't for her our world would still be like the old days. When she declared, “The only tired I was, I was tired of giving up” (Parks cover), that's when she decided to do something for herself and her people. “When this happened, we blacks should have given up our seats to whites. But I didn't move", it all started like this (Parks page 1). Rosa Parks was a hero because she brought about change in the civil rights movement, forcing them to end segregation. Rosa Parks was an African American woman who was tired of being treated differently just because of the color of her skin. She was a very kind woman who fought against all laws and segregation. Rosa was born in 1913 in Tuskegee, Alabama and died in 2005 in Detroit, Michigan (RM, plc. "Rosa (Louise McCauley) Parks"4). She did something that broke the law at the time, but it changed this place and continues to impact everyone to this day (Armentrout, DavidArmentrout, Patricia. "ALABAMA: Rosa Parks."1). He was on a boycott bus on December 1, 1955 when the bus filled up and African Americans were supposed to give up their seats to Americans but Rosa did not (Badertscher 1). She was 42 at the time, so she knew what she was doing and decided to do it anyway ("Rosa Parks"1). When she refused to give up her seat they ended up taking her to prison because she was breaking a law at the time (Badertscher 7). She went to prison for something unjust, she was tired of getting no respect and being treated like she was nobody or nothing in the world. Parks refused to give up her seat on the bus because she was tired of giving up her seat at American and being treated unfairly because of the color of her skin... middle of paper... they should, this world wouldn't be what if people spoke openly about what they believe.
