There are some signs that show that you may be a victim of age discrimination. First, when your manager or HR comments on employee ages and asks about your retirement plan. For example, if they say we need younger workers, or that we are too old, or something similar. This could be direct evidence that you are a victim of age discrimination. If it happens, you need to document it by writing down the comment, the time, the date, and whether there are witnesses. Secondly, whether younger employees receive more attention than older ones by including them in events, trainings, meetings or if you feel they have been treated differently. If the employer fired some workers, and all older workers, this could be direct evidence of age discrimination. Also, favoritism when the employer favors younger workers by giving them the best contacts, assignments, equipment, office space and excluding older employees from meetings and these things. These could be signs of age discrimination. Also, hiring younger employees, if the company prefers to hire only younger employees with fewer qualifications, compared to qualified older employees. This is a sign that the company discriminates against people based on their age. Just like if you applied for a promotion and notice that only younger people are promoted, but there are more of you
