There are millions of starving people and victims of wars and local government corruption around the world. Foreign aid could give them a better chance to survive. The positive side of foreign aid is that it saves many people in underdeveloped countries and more importantly gives them a chance to survive. While some agree with foreign aid, others do not. It's just window dressing to solve problems. However, foreign aid can help many developing and underdeveloped countries, and the United States should not cut foreign aid. Foreign aid was initially given to help the US and European governments during World War II and now to help underdeveloped countries. There are many good examples of foreign aid agencies such as the Inter-American Foundation, or IAF, an independent agency of the U.S. government that funds development projects. Australian Agency for International Development or AusAID which provides Australia's overseas aid program. EuropeAid Development and Cooperation or EUAID. However there are foreign aid agencies that don't really help developing countries because they only help them in the short term, this short term means they only help them by providing foods like sugars, rice, oil (they only give them food without teaching them how grow food or produce it themselves) without giving them jobs, jobs, or even worse, they will interfere with those small towns and take over everything. It is considered wasted and corrupt. Foreign aid is now growing rapidly. If foreign aid is well managed, it will benefit the poor. There are numerous types of aid, emergency humanitarian aid, food aid, military assistance, etc. Help poor developing nations lift themselves out of poverty.
