The witches, Lady Macbeth and her gullibility were only factors that pointed this out. Once King's murder was committed, he was unable to stop his power-hungry actions. “I have entered the blood so far, that, if I were no longer to wade, the return would be as tedious as the outward journey:” (III, iv, 167-169). Macbeth died for his actions and most importantly; he died in the hands of people for whom he was once ready to sacrifice everything, even himself.
