Just under half a million Australian women reported experiencing physical or sexual violence or sexual assault. Women who are personally victims of domestic violence become emotionally unstable and are unable to deal with certain situations. Many think it is their fault because they think they did something wrong to have their spouse attack them. However, women are not the only victims of domestic violence; men are victims too. Most violence against men is committed by other men. Among men who reported experiencing physical violence, 73.7% said the perpetrator was male, but that doesn't mean women don't abuse men just as much. Women are much more sympathetic than men when it comes to domestic violence. People just assume that if a male is physically or emotionally abused, he is weak and can't fight for himself.
