Ignorance is a huge problem, it is one of the major factors responsible for issues such as racism and sexism. Fortunately, ignorance, in general, is a relatively easy problem to solve. The obvious answer would be more education, but that's not necessarily the case. To eliminate much of the racism, sexism, and other forms of prejudice that arise from ignorance, it is necessary to look at education from another perspective: one that encourages solidarity and development together with people of all races and genders. A quote from Grace Boggs' book The Next American Revolution sums it up perfectly. “Imagine what our neighborhoods would be like if, instead of keeping our children isolated in classrooms for twelve years or more, we engaged them in community-building activities as boldly as the civil rights movement engaged them in community-building activities. desegregation for fifty years. ago! ...Our children will naturally and normally absorb the values of social responsibility and cooperation and at the same time be inspired to learn the skills and acquire the information needed to solve real problems” (Boggs 158). So, the main point here is that prejudice, against all sexes, genders and creeds, can be eliminated through education that encourages cooperation with the widest variety of people. To understand this concept, it is necessary to look at it from different perspectives to analyze its feasibility in modern society. First, we need to examine the current educational paradigm to determine exactly what it is. system that requires change. One of the most immediate concerns arises from the fact that the educational structures that...... middle of paper ......r through the power of music, will not be forgotten. Racism, sexism and other forms of prejudice are simply not acceptable in modern society, and the sooner they can be eliminated completely, the sooner the world can truly progress.
