In middle childhood, is where middle childhood and adolescence are increasing their cognitive development. During this time their brain is becoming more complex. They are starting to develop in the adolescent stage. Some examples of this would be that their theory of mind becomes more refined and can present more detail. Furthermore, different memory strategies become known and become more organized. During this time not only does your brain change, but many other things can happen to your body. This may include body growth, puberty, motor development, emotional change, social change and relational changes. But for all this to happen, your brain is the most important part. Adolescence is the period of transition from childhood to adulthood. In adolescence, brain development can include various cognitive skills. Different cognitive skills are improved by processing all of the following; speed, attention, memory, planning, ability to combine information and self-regulation.
