Have you been involved in an ethical dilemma regarding a computer problem? What was it about and how did you come to a decision? Do you think you did the right thing? I never imagined I would find myself involved in such a situation. In any workplace, ethics is the foundation of having a work environment where employers and employees are motivated to do the best they can to increase the chances of having a productive and successful work environment. When hiring new employees, employers assume that employers follow at least the basic ethical aspects that should be present in every premises. One of these aspects is the quality of work and productivity. When carrying out assigned tasks, workers should give full consideration to the quality of work and productivity. Additionally, punctuality is an important work ethic. The more punctual your employees are, the more ethical and successful your workplace will be. Furthermore, safety must always be ethical in the workplace. An employer should ensure that the safety of their employees is the number one priority while at work. Consequently, physical and psychological safety should be taken into consideration between employers and employees, and between employees themselves. Besides safety, quality and productivity, honesty and punctuality, privacy of workers, employers and work information is a crucial work ethic that should be built in such a good workplace.
