I believe that Annette was ethical in her practices because she followed the most important part of the NAYEC Code of Ethical Conduct which states in Principle 1.1 “Above all, we will not harm children. We will participate in practices that are emotionally harmful, physically harmful, disrespectful, degrading, dangerous, exploitative or intimidating to children. (National Association for the Education of Young Children, 2011) I believe this was the most important part of the code she followed and I find that in this regard she was ethical in her practice by reporting this situation to her local community agency.
