Hosanna was forced to confront her sense of identity. She had held two roles and sometimes felt trapped. Sometimes he was called Hosanna and other times Claude. Hosanna Raymond's partner also has a second identity, he is a motorcyclist and calls himself Cuirette. Raymond is not attracted to women, but is interested in men who dress like women. Hosanna sometimes insults Raymond as a stereotypical man, and sometimes speaks to Raymond as a wife would to her husband. Hosanna stated: “Be careful how you speak, dear, you are becoming vulgar. Since you have started to gain weight, you have a tendency to become gross” (46). This statement indicates that Hosanna had responded to Raymond's insults in the way a stereotypical woman would, telling Raymond to watch his language. Claude and Raymond are in a long-term relationship, however, due to the uncertainty of their identity they constantly argue and insult each other
