World War Z The film I chose was World War Z. I have always loved Max Brooks' work. I wanted to see if I could find any sociological problems in this film. I also love movies that contain zombies. Based on a novel called World War Z by Max Brooks, World War Z is one of the highest-grossing films of 2013 and Brad Pitt's most successful film grossing $533 million worldwide. Brad Pitt, called Gerry Lane, in one film is a United Nations investigator who must travel around the world to put an end to zombies. Former UN investigator Lane, his wife and two children find themselves in the city of Philadelphia, where the city is completely attacked by zombies. As the pandemonium increases, the Lanes flee to New Jersey and take refuge in an apartment, where a couple lives with a young son, Tommy. UN Deputy Secretary General Thierry Umutoni, an old friend of Gerry, wants to help Gerry and sends a helicopter to save from Wild Zombies. Thierry then takes Gerry to a Navy ship in the Atlantic, where a scientist and many researchers are trying to find a vaccine to eradicate the virus spread throughout the world. Gerry cautiously agrees to help Fassbach find the source of the outbreak after it is made clear that he and if he doesn't, his family will be removed from the ship. In search of a vaccine, Gerry travels to Camp Humphreys, a military base in South Korea, where they are attacked by zombies. After being rescued by military police, a former CIA agent, imprisoned on the base, tells Gerry to go to Jerusalem, where he says a safe zone has been maintained by the Israeli Mossad since before the epidemic was officially recognized. Gerry travels to Jerusalem where he meets the Mossad. chief Jurgen Warmbrunn, who explains that months earlier the Mossad had intercepted... half of a document... The only problem I had with the film is that I read the book before saying it, and there are a lot of things which were left out and which in my opinion would have made the film more understandable. The scripts didn't have much to do with this movie since it was already a book. There's really nothing I would have changed with the movie other than adding more material from the book that was left out. In conclusion, World War Z is a movie about the zombie apocalypse that is prevented by a man named Gerry Lane who is played by Brad Pitt. There were two main social problems I saw: society's reaction to a pandemic and the government's plan to save certain people during a pandemic. The solutions were to keep the public informed and alter the current government. Lastly, I feel that World War Z was a very good movie and I feel that people should watch it.
