According to two actions, Myanmar has maintained its strengths as most tourist destinations are still pristine, exotic and not overly developed, especially in the marine and beach environment. Myanmar is also rich in culture and heritage. Therefore, tourist destinations in Myanmar are quite famous among nature-loving tourists, ecotourists, due to being covered with “261,228 miles of forests, beautiful mountain ranges, historic woodlands and pristine rivers”. However, following the 2010 elections, the Myanmar government changed its regime from a closed-door policy to a democracy. The number of tourist arrivals in Myanmar, one of the most renowned host countries in the tourism sector, is increasing every year. As a result, it has reached a phase of strong expansion. The Myanmar Ministry of Hotels and Tourism (MOHT) is aware of the adverse effects on various political, economic, social, environmental and ethical factors due to the increasing number of tourist arrivals. Since Myanmar is rich in undistributed natural areas and diverse types of species, the MOHT and the Ministry of Environment Conservation and Forestry (MOECAF) seek to preserve the environment as a form of responsible tourism in terms of regulation
