Edward Joseph Snowden is a former CIA technician, former Booz Allen Hamilton employee, and former NSA defense contractor. Edward Snowden had leaked an NSA secret through an interview with The Guardian's Glenn Greenwald that surprised the world. In his disclosure, Snowden revealed to the NSA that they have been mining data all along and secretly monitoring the personal information of US citizens by logging in through different servers. In June 2013, Edward Snowden made an unauthorized disclosure to The Guardian in an interview about a warrantless government action, which the NSA accessed across the world's nine largest internet companies to collect data from citizens. Data is extracted and analyzed by the NSA from citizens' personal information such as audio, video, images, emails, instant messages, documented files, social network activity and contact information. In this surveillance plan there are two secret programs. The first is to monitor citizens' network activities, the second is to monitor through citizens' phone call records. This is the largest monitoring project ever in the history of America and it has truly baffled the public. Snowden's confession about the exposure of classified documents revealing the NSA surveillance program has influenced the public with different interpretations. In his interview, Snowden stated that “The public must decide whether these programs and policies are right or wrong.” The face of Edward Snowden offered to the public using the free press is a righteous image of him. He said the disclosure by the US government and NSA is to allow people to see the truth and their lives have been compromised. Some people perceive that... middle of paper... material activities can not only create interactions and share information with others, but can also provide opportunities for others to violate our personal information, since it is literally open public and searchable on Internet. Former NSA employee Edward Snowden is still trying to gain asylum from another country. While President Obama's biggest concern after Snowden's spying secret was revealed is whether this could stabilize the preservation of the statues in the next term while solving the spying problem. All things have consequences, whether right or wrong, we must all take responsibility for the things we have done. Regardless of everything else, the Snowdon incident was an example of how the media and social audiences can have a big impact on our perception. We must think critically and understand the media content that introduces our lives.
