The EssayRomanticism was a creative era where many poets shared their creativity with the world. And show the world a new point of view never seen before. While many people were in favor of romanticism, then there were some citizens who were mostly writers against romanticism and thought that romanticism was corruption and madness to the world. In the notes on American Romanticism it is stated that “writers considered cities to be centers of corruption and ugliness.” In the story of Annabel Lee it talks about how this young man had his one true love and made her his bride and at the end of the story you find out that she was dead and he always slept next to her in her tombstone just to feel close to her . “And so, all night long, I lie beside my treasure, my darling, my life and my bride, in the tomb there by the sea, in her tomb by the surrounding sea.” If I had been around this time and read this poem by Annabel Lee, I would have been a little freaked out by the way the author structured this poem. But if I had continued to read this poem over and over I would have understood where the author was going with this story and how strongly someone can love a person even if they die. Also another quote from that story was "But our love was far stronger than the love of those who were older than us than many far wiser than us and neither the angels up in heaven nor the demons down below the sea, will they ever be able to separate." my soul from the soul of the beautiful Annabel Lee. i think this is why they called it Romance because for example this quote talks about how the young man really loved his wife and even though she is dead he still talks to her and loves her as if she is still alive and......at the center of the card...here, the cuff is flipped for a glamorous, whimsical, off-the-shoulder look." This quote shows how you had these 2 kids who only had one Barbie because their family was poor. So they kept those Barbies in great shape and when they got so bored of the kids clothes they just made new ones and then one day in the parking lot they found 2 Barbie dolls near the place where the toy store had burned down and even though these 2 dolls weren't perfect, those 2 children would have made them perfect. It also states "Lying on the road next to some utensils and platform shoes with the heels all crushed. This story shows postmodernism by telling a story about how some children didn't always get what they wanted." when they wanted it and had to do it. it works with what they had. And this author also said what the world was like in 1900 when it came to toys.
