Somewhere in Nova Scotia there is a beautiful park with fascinating scenery. It is on an island surrounded by bodies of water that sparkle like crystals when the sun shines on it. This park must be a creation of Aphrodite and is also known as Cape Breton Highlands Park. It is located in Cheticamp and Ingonish, Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. It has an area of 949 km². Although it is quite small, it has the best views shown in my poster. In my poster I drew some animals that represent the wildlife of the park. This island has about 40 different types of land mammals such as white-tailed deer, snow hares, and the animals I drew on the poster such as moose, black bear, and coyote. Exclusive animals including the Canadian lynx, vole and Gaspe shrew because they are at risk. I drew a hawk on the right side of the cliff to represent the different types of birds. Seabirds include gulls, cormorants and guillemots; Forest birds include many songbirds, ruffed grouse, bald eagles, owls, and, as illustrated on my poster, even hawks. Cape Breton doesn't have many reptiles and amphibians because it is isolated and cold. I drew a green frog on the rock and a garter snake because they are the most common reptiles and amphibians. In my poster you can see a man fishing at the end of the reef but his fish is empty, because Cape Breton is home to a lot of fish, so it will be a mystery. Brook trout, Atlantic salmon and other freshwater fish can be found on the lake. In the ocean you can find Atlantic cod and different types of sharks such as blue sharks and basking sharks. And of course, like in any other park, there are also many pests. In the park you can find different types of invertebrates such as periwinkles, crabs, spi......means paper......for example it is illegal to collect plants and disturbs the animals, nature must be respected and left in its place original. There actually used to be residents in this park and also farms, but they are gone now and its area is mostly forest, although it is still recovering from the farms. Cape Breton Highlands National Park is a beautiful place and should be respected. Works Cited http://www.pc.gc.ca/eng/pn-np/ns/cbreton/natcul/natcul1/c.aspx http://www.
