Topic > Effectiveness of recruitment and selection techniques

2.3 Evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment and selection techniques in two organizationsRecruitment:Based on the comparison of the presented task 2.2, we can clearly state that ACI has five levels and UNILEVER has six levels of political recruitment.1. ACI has a very good prospect for the initial phase of recruitment compared to UNILEVER. Mr. Biplop from ACI HRM reviews the manpower needed for the ACI help position and then performs the required job analysis. The analysis of the work is carried out through various phases. Those are:A. Job Descriptioni. Main purpose of the work ii. Scope of work iii. Working conditionsB. Specification of the person. Skill and knowledge requirements ii. Experience required iii. Necessary skills iv. Education and training criteria (if required) UNILEVER has walk-in and write-in options. It will only work for high-level employees with a lot of experience but does not contain position descriptions. So clearly ACI has a much more detailed and user-friendly way for candidates to apply for that position.2. The ICA receives all requests from headquarters, and headquarters has sole authority to determine employee needs in each sector. Unilever uses employee referrals where if an employee leaves their position, that employee refers a replacement employee.3. There are two types of procurement carried out by ACI: internal and external. By using two types of sourcing, ACI gains more choices and identifies the following two sources: A. Internal Source. Job Advertisement ii. Nominationsiii. Online CV bank iv. Succession planB. External sources. Nominations not requested ii. Reference and employee networks iii. Advertising iv. Resumes received online... in the middle of the sheet... and the ACI selection process ends. Overall, the ACI has a good approach for selection, but they should work on the interview procedures and make them the same for every employee who gets hired for any position. Opinion: For me, both companies have an effective recruitment and selection process structure. ACI has an exceptional recruitment structure with all the details in brief and a very friendly approach to anyone looking for a job. If we talk about selection, ACI has a very good selection structure but they should introduce physical tests because this is very important for an incoming employee because some harmful diseases will spread through touch or breathing. They should review the way the interview is conducted and make it the same for all employees rather than any level. The way the interview is currently conducted could cause discrimination among hired employees.
