The Taj Mahal was built by Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal, it is a monument of immeasurable beauty and love. It was true white marble beauty and the most peaceful place I have ever visited. Next, we went to the All India War Memorial or better known as India Gate, a war memorial commemorating the over 90,000 Indian soldiers who died in the First World War. It was the most majestic and iconic structure and the vast lawn adds to the charming atmosphere of the place. It was one of my proudest moments because I had the chance to appreciate the soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the country. After leaving from there, we visited many other historical monuments like Golden Temple, India Gate and Qutb Minar.
