• The area we observed was the one furthest from Rockingham and faced south-west. The Longshore drift faced directly southeast and carried away most of the softer rock to form the main shore of Punta Peron. Longshore drift influences all other factors of coastal erosion as it affects the direction the waves turn, how the wind affects the tides, the formation of dunes, and how all other factors can be implemented into the coast. • Wind erosion has taken its toll and worn away many headlands within the coast and contributed to many other coastal weathering factors, such as coastal debris piles and wave-cut notches. Strong wind speeds are tearing apart the rocks and could potentially carry erosive chemicals, which can speed up the erosion process.• The wave-cut notch at Punta Peron was formed over thousands of years by waves crashing onto the cliff, and as this happens, the water makes its way into the cliff and here you can see how the water has managed to create a wave-cut platform right at the foot of the cliff. The long one...
