As I watched this story unfold, I thought, "Am I going to be the next to be senselessly killed?" Things like this make you think about how the world is really going for the worse in my opinion. In reference to the video, “Jesse Williams Speech (2016 BET Awards) What Jesse Williams said during his speech really ties into what happened with Trayvon Martin. Williams said, “If you have no interest in black people, don't make suggestions to those who do.” A woman who was a guest on the hit daytime show, "The View," said something that really relates to how African Americans feel about the way police brutality is affecting African Americans. According to the video, "Jesse Williams Gives Powerful Speech at BET Awards, 'View' Reacts," Sunny Hostin said, which I thought; to be exactly the thing that African Americans think: “I think intent is really important, so yeah, he can do it, but it's wonderful to love black culture. But when blacks are killed in the streets and when blacks are discriminated against. Where are you, where are you? So love the culture but also love the people." It is critical for all of us to recognize how African Americas are affected day after day by others who hurt us.
