In my experience, simply stating that I believe in God is not generally recognized as a denominational preference. The expectation of believers is to choose a specific label of religion. However, each denomination of Christianity shares a belief in the same God. Varieties of Christianity contain individual perceptions of Christian needs. For example, Catholic denominations believe in infant baptism. In contrast, the Baptist belief of Baptism at the age of consent (www.answerbag.com.personal communications, November 14, 2003). Additionally, nondenominational churches advocate a no-pressure approach to the Lord. In my opinion, believing in one God requires only one religion and one set of beliefs. Born into a practicing Catholic family, I acquired six traditional sacraments of the Catholic religion. In Catholic teaching, the sacraments are gifts of Christ, performed through the office of the Church (www.spaceandmotion.com/religion.personal communications, August 2007). From elementary school to high school I attended Catholic School. At eighteen I came to the conclusion; the Catholic religion wasn't for me. I find Catholicism highly contradictory. For centuries, a belief of Catholicism has been that an individual's soul is not saved until he or she receives the sacrament of Baptism. Therefore, if a person had not been baptized he would not go to Heaven. After holding this belief for years, Catholics have changed their teachings. Currently, it is taught that Baptism is a Sacrament and the soul is not condemned if one has not been baptized. In Catholic congregations, parishioners confess their sins to a priest, whom they refer to as father. I never understood the reasoning for this, God is the Fa... in the center of the card... t. Baptist services are quite stressful. Unlike the Baptist church, the non-denominational church aims for a more modern style of religion. These contemporary churches host live bands and snack bars. The church may change opinions to accommodate members at any time. The Adenominational denomination is in fact Adenominazionale. I found the no-pressure approach too open-ended. For example, church members attend the service with coffee while wearing their pajamas. A place to praise God should be more respected. Building community seemed to be the highest priority in the non-denominational church. I believe that regulation for religious denominations is impractical. Life is challenging enough especially for those who believe. Believers are more conscientious about right and wrong. In my opinion, believing in one God only requires a religion with one set of beliefs.
